As usual I was out for a walk in the evening. I stopped by a
Frankie booth and placed an order. While I was waiting for it, I saw a guy loaded
with furious temperament, heading towards the booth from the other side with a
Frankie in his hand. He started shouting at the guy on the counter. “What kind
of Frankie is this? It’s not good at all. Don’t you know how is it made? …..and so on”
Very soon, he started explaining the recipe to him in short,
hovering over a handful of sentences a few times. All of this, in a pitch too
high!
Guy at the booth said, “We have so many options in menu to select from and you placed an order for the wrong one. I guess you were looking
for …that one”
The amount of rage the guy (customer) had, rose
exponentially and he finally threw the frankie in the dustbin, kept rambling
the same sentences and finally he went away in anger.
As soon as he left, the counter guy asked me if I liked the Frankie
I ordered. “It’s fine” I said. And then
he started complaining about the guy who had just left. I listened to him for a
while and did not say anything. And then he asked again if it(Frankie) was good.
I said "It’s good."
I guess, people experiment with food, different people like different
kind of stuff, everyone has his/her own style of cooking and their own dining
preferences..
But in any case, there is a way to communicate bad news.. ”In
a Constructive way”!
