Yin-Yang Theory

Interesting concept, pretty much in lines with what I think about certain things!

I could learn about it only recently while conversing with a colleague about my poem http://my-first-online-diary.blogspot.in/2013/11/if-at-all.htmlThis is when he told me about these topics

1. Best of all possible worlds
“The claim that the actual world is the best of all possible worlds is the central argument in Leibniz's theodicy, or his attempt to solve the problem of evil.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best_of_all_possible_worlds

2. And the counter argument by Voltaire in Candide, ou l'Optimisme, a French satire first published in 1759 by Voltaire,

When I looked at this image for the first time, it reminded me of a Poke Ball, not sure if you are familiar with the term.

I believe that there are no such people as good or bad in the world. Rather they are two facets of the same coin. Plus whether somebody is good or not depends a lot more on the perception as well as the context. You're good for somebody if you live up to his/her expectations.

About every great person in the world, there would be someone somewhere who would not have anything good to say. Similarly, one cannot demonstrate the same kind of behavior to everyone and live up to everybody's expectations. One has to and must choose.

So, for all those people who think too much about what others think of their actions, these snippets from Steven Covey’s book might help:

You are not your body.
Your body is not you.
You are not the doer.
You are not the enjoyer.
You are pure awareness,
The witness of all things.
You are without expectation,
Free.
Wherever you go,
Be happy!

Desire and aversion are of the mind.
The mind is never yours.
You are free of its turmoil.
You are awareness itself,
Never changing.
Wherever you go,
Be happy.

For see!
The Self is in all beings,
And all beings are in the Self.
Know you are free,
Free of "I,"
Free of "mine."
Be happy.

~ Ashtavakra Gita (15.4-6)
