Indian women falling in the age-group, as of my mom, is really a source of inspiration, I would say..but..I really feel that India has always been a male dominated society, where women have been considered very honourable & respectable in all holybooks, but then when you come to the real battleground of life, they & their thoughts are always given less importance compared to men in the house..
The life of women in India was quiet miserable & it still is..but if you would compare it with the last & the centuries before, it has improvised a lot.
One important reason behind this could be..the envy or may be you could say, a feeling of less of trust & more of jealousy that is there between any two females in the world..I always feel that biggest weakness of the female community here is that they don't support each other..If you are not united among yourselves, there is no doubt the other community, being the male community would exploit & dominate you..
But today, where on one hand females like Kalpana Chawala has reached space, on the other hand we have the first citizen of the nation(the President) who is a female..Females have progressed alot in each and every aspect of life..but still there are miles to go..
All this gives me a mixed feeling of...being left undecided..
Indian women--really a source of inspiration..??
